Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2016 - November

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday!! I have had a hard time getting in my craft room this month...hence the last minute entry into Tim's 12 Tags of 2016!! I've entered every month so far so I couldn't miss this one!! And I am short of time today, so this will be a quick post :)

My tag is quite a bit different from Tim's this month...I used products I had on hand. For the Remnant Rub Resist, I started with Remnant Rubs and then Distress Inks in Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn and Mermaid Lagoon. The edges were inked with Gathered Twigs. For the Dimensional Coloring, I used the butterflies from his French Flight Framelets and colored them with Distress Markers and a TH Waterbrush. The metal leaves are from his Idea-ology Adornments Nature set.

I am entering this in Tim's 12 Tags of 2016 Challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day :)

Scrapping4fun Challenges Guest Designer

Happy Thursday evening, everyone!! I hope all my friends in the USA had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration today!! I'm so excited to be a guest designer again at Scrappin4Fun Challenges!! The theme this week is Christmas :)

For my Christmas cards, I started with papers from Maja Designs. A Tim Holtz Treeline die was cut in heavyweight cardstock and added to the background.

Tucked in front of the tree line are small poinsettias and white stamens from Wild Orchid Crafts. The large poinsettia is also from WOC and in the center, a WOC fabric baby's breath flower was added.

Sparkly mesh was added to the bottom of the card, along with lace from my stash. Happy Christmas is a Sue Wilson Designs Die. It was cut with the Maja papers and also foam for dimension.

Tucked beneath the flowers are Impression Obsession Pine Branches and IO Pine Sprigs, and Memory Box Holly Jolly Branches along with sisal. The beautiful ribbon is White as Snow from The Christmas Bundle at DL.ART. A DecoArt Snow Writer gave the card a frosty glow.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Christmas To Die For

Thanks to Rachelle and the talented Scrapping4fun design team for having me as a guest designer this week!! And thank you for stopping by!!

For these cards, I let my Brushos and Dylusions Sprays come out to play :) The base is Kraft Cardstock. The banner is a Taylored Expressions Banner die, cut on printed vellum. The sentiment is from My Creative Time.

The base of this card was created with Dylusions Sprays. The Taylored Expressions Seasonal Tree die was cut from papers colored with Brushos and also with foam for dimension.

The opposite on this card...the background was created with Brushos and the Seasonal Trees were cut with paper covered in Dylusions Sprays. This beautiufl crinkle ribbon is One Fathom from The Mermaid's Tale First Edition. The button is a Poppystamps Stitched Button Die and Green/White twine.

Scrapy Land Challenge #54 - Give Thanks

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a wonderful week!! It's time for a new challenge at Scrapy Land and the theme this week is Give Thanks Plus a brand of die that Scrapy Land carries...there are over 40 to choose from!! You could win a $15 gift certificate to shop at Scrapy Land .

I feel bad, but I can't give you very specific instructions on how I made these cards. I worked ahead before I left on vacation last month and as I sit here trying to do the write-up, I can't remember all the products that I used!! I will try though :) For the background, I created a mask of the moon with a Memory Box Stitched Circle die. I then added layers of Distress Ink (not sure of the colors...I know there was Squeezed Lemonade, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade). I then flicked drops of water onto the ink. The tree line stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Along the side, a Poppystamps Leafy Sprig Border was layered over a Sizzix Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlet die. The gorgeous ribbon is from DL.ART. A Memory Box Circle Die was used for the sentiment, and leaves from Impression Obsession Small Leaf set were added.

The button on the ribbon is a Poppystamps Stitched Button die. Burlap was added behind the scene for added texture.

I totally can't remember at all how I created the rough bark texture on the Sizzix Tim Holtz Birch Tree Thinlet. I wish I could. I actually planned on doing a tutorial and it irritates me that I can't remember the steps. I know there was DecoArt Crackle Paste involved, but the rest I just can't recall.

The deer are Impression Obsession Deer Trio dies. They were popped up with foam tape for dimension.

Real Love Stories Never Have Endings

Happy Sunday!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! My parents are celebrating their anniversary tomorrow so I made time to visit my craft room to create a card for them :)

For some reason, I had trouble photographing these cards. Not sure why :/ I used papers from Lemoncraft's Tiny Miracles stack.

The frame is a KaiserCraft Circle Vines die. It was heat embossed with Shabby White Frantage. Glittered mesh from Joann was cut with a Memory Box Stitched Circles die and applied behind the frame. A Sue Wilson Pierced Flags die was used for the sentiment from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). It was heat embossed with White Detail Embossing Powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle. The heart is from My Creative Time and it was covered with SNS Crystal Ice.

A Sue Wilson Pierced Tag was used in the background, with white twine from DL.ART. The pictures don't do justice to the gorgeous Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The ribbon is Chalk White from DL.ART. The hearts along the bottom are a Frantic Stamper Love Accessory die and it was covered in SNS Crystal Ice.

One the inside, I used one of my new Carabella Spring dies. I added the hearts that came from the Frantic Stamper die on the front...they are also glittered with SNS Crystal Ice.

Because I can never just make one card, I made another in the same style :) Once again, it was very hard to photograph this and I don't know why.

The details are pretty much the same except this sentiment is from My Creative Time. The butterfly is a Fiskars punch.

I am entering this in the following challenges:

1) Frilly and Funkie - What a Mesh (cheesecloth and glittered mesh)
2) Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
3) Little Scrap Pieces Show if Off Saturday - Anything Goes

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great day!! Big hugs :)
