Craft It Up & Link It Up Challenge - Anything Goes

To enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway, click HERE

Happy Monday and last day of March!! Another month bites the dust!! It's time for a new Craft It Up & Link It Up Challenge at Craftin Desert Divas. The theme for this challenge is an easy one and everyone's favorite...Anything Goes :) Our sponsors this week are: Fresh Squeezed Stamps - Mother Knows Best stamp set; Lovebug Creations - $10 gift card; Fleurette Bloom - $10 gift card.

I've been anxious to use the new Julie Nutting Sea Sallie Mermaid stamp so I inked her up for this challenge :) The tag is a Prima Doll Tag and it was covered with paper from K&Company's Happy Trails stack. Sea Sallie was stamped on old book paper and then she was lightly colored with a Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Marker and a TH Waterbrush. Her hair was colored with Distress Inks in Salty Ocean and Mowed Grass and blended with a waterbrush. The waves on the bottom are a Taylored Expressions Ride The Waves Border die. Sea Sallie is on an Action Wobble that my sweet friend Dee of Dee B's sent me.

I just love the Memory Box Hibiscus die!! You can't tell in the picture but the flowers, Sallie's hair and outfit were all brushed with a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker. They really sparkle!! Sun Kissed is from Tara's new Summer Lovin' stamp set:

You can purchase it or the Punny orTeenage Dream stamps HERE.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - March Linky
  2. Every Day is an Occasion - March Linky
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Craftin Desert Divas to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge, then Craft It Up & Link It Up!! I can't wait to see what you create :)

To enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway, click HERE

Happy Saturday, everyone!! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! I'm so excited to be a guest designer at My Sheri Crafts today!! Thanks so much for having me, Sheri!!

The theme for Challenge #130 is Anything Celebrating Easter Except for a Card, so for my project, I created an Easter basket :)

The base of the basket was constructed from a piece of 8 3/4 x 7 Kraft cardstock.

The papers are from the Tim Holtz Seasonal paper stack. I love the vintage images!! The edges were inked with TH Old Paper Distress Ink. The grass is a My Creative Time Stitched Grass die.

The egg shapes on the sides were created with Spellbinders Classic Ovals Large dies. The white paper is from Fancy Pants and it has little bits of sparkle that you can't see in the pics. The gorgeous crinkle ribbon is from my sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces. The tag is a Spellbinders Charmed I'm Sure die. The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2 stamp set and it was stamped in TH Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

For the inside, I decoupaged two plastic eggs with papers from the same paper stack using Mod Podge. I then cut the flower seed images from the paper and glued them onto packets created from a Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope die so that they look like little seed packages.

A Die-Versions Lacey Dots die (you can purchase it HERE) was used for the handle. Aren't the little bunnies on the paper adorable :)

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. Little Scrap Pieces - Show It Off Saturday
  2. DL.Art - March Linky
  3. DL.Art Thankful Thursday #129 - Bunny
  4. My Craft Spot #130 - Anything Goes

New Gallery and Giveaway Reminder!!

Happy Thursday!! I hope you are having a great week!! I am so excited that I found a new way to post a gallery on my blog :) You can see it HERE. I had been using Photobucket, but I didn't like the limited options, and it was a pain to update when new projects were added. This gallery has a thumbnail of the project and a link back to the original post. It will be easier to update directly on my blog rather than going through a third party.

I will admit, it took me a loooong time to set it up. I basically had to go back through every post I've ever done. Then I had to figure out how to tweak it so that the tall photos and wide photos were roughly the same size, but I'm really happy with the final result. I thought about posting a tutorial, but I didn't know if anyone would be interested because I will reiterate, it's not something you can do in a few hours, especially if you've been blogging for a long time or have lots of projects posted!!

Also, I want to remind you to enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway!! Only 34 people have entered so far. Please make sure you post a picture in the linky...I will choose a winner from there. It doesn't have to be your baby picture...it can be your children, grandchildren, pet, favorite project, anything!! The giveaway ends on Friday, April 4th.

#TOOCUTE4U

To enter my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway, click HERE!!

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!! Did you get the chance to hop along with the first ever Craftin Desert Divas Stamp Release Party??!! Aren't Tara's new stamps awesome??!! I am so excited for her and her new venture!! I have a project to share with you today using her new Teenage Dream stamp set :)

I have several new products I've been dying to use so I created this tag. My dear, sweet friend Dee of Dee B's sent me some absolutely amazing goodies to play with, including the awesome Tim Holtz Sketch stamp set (she knows how much I adore Tim!!) Thanks again for everything, Dee!! My sweet friend Karen of Little Scrap Pieces sent the gorgeous crinkle ribbon. Thanks again, Karen!! I started with a tag from Prima's Doll Tag Pad and inked the edges with TH Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The shield from Tim's Sketch set was stamped on white cardstock and then inked with Walnut Distress Ink. It was then fussy cut and adhered to the tag. Becky is another new item I couldn't wait to ink up. She's a Julie Nutting Prima Doll stamp. She was stamped on old book paper and popped up with foam tape. The papers are from FarmHouse Paper Company's Fair Skies paper stack, and the edges were inked with Walnut Distress Ink. The two Silver pieces on each side of Becky are also a gift from Dee...they are from Recollections.

The silver borders and arrows are from TH's new Idea-ology Industrious Borders Stickers. They were attached with Tim's Tiny Attacher. I also used a couple of the borders for Becky's shirt.

The banner is from the same TH Sketch set. It was inked with Walnut Distress Ink and fussy cut. The awesome and adorable sentiment, #toocute4u is from Craftin Desert Diva's Teenage Dream stamp set. You can purchase it at the new Craftin Desert Diva's store HERE. It was heat embossed with TH Fired Brick Distress Embossing Powder.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - March Linky
  2. Every Day is an Occasion - March Linky
  3. Just B Creative Crazy - March Linky
  4. Word Art Wednesday #121 - Anything Goes

And now for my project....

Summer/beachy projects are my absolute favorite to make :) I was so excited when I saw Tara's Summer Lovin' stamps. Then I came across this beach die from Taylored Expressions and I just had to have it to showcase Tara's stamps :)  The base of the card is watercolor paper. For the rays, I spread Wendy Vecchi Translucent Embossing Paste through a Tim Holtz Rays stencil. The background color was made with Twinkling H2O's. It really shimmers but you can't see it in the pictures. I popped up the beach scene with foam tape for dimension.

I wanted the "Summer Lovin'" sentiment to stand out, so it was heat embossed with snow embossing powder.

I would so love to be laying in that hammock right now :) Your next stop on the hop is the awesome Karen!! Please be sure to come back tomorrow for Day 2!! Tara is giving away one stamp set each day of this hop, so the more you comment the more chances you have to win.

Decorate to Celebrate #71 - Spring Decorations or Birthday

For my 3 Year Blogaversary Giveaway - Click HERE!!

Happy Wednesday!! I hope you are having a great week!! Can you believe tomorrow is the first day of Spring??!! It's still chilly here and the flowers haven't started peeking through yet, but the birds are chirping away :) Speaking of Spring...it's time for another fun challenge at Decorate to Celebrate, and for Challenge #71, we are asking you to create Spring Decorations or Birthday Party Decorations :)

For my spring project, I created a wall hanging. I picked up the frame at Goodwill for a couple of bucks. After removing the glass (and darn it, breaking it!!), it was covered with white acrylic paint and then lightly sanded when it was dry.

All of the papers are from Fancy Pants' Park Bench stack. The tags are all Spellbinders Labels 17 and all of the edges were sanded. I picked up the small clothes pins from Hobby Lobby and then cut strips of the paper to cover them. Believe it or not, I used my Cricut!! Poor thing was so dusty and feeling neglected :( The letters are from Gypsy Font and I welded them together with my Gypsy.

I used Spellbinders D-Lites One and Three, as well as tags from Nested Lacey Pennants. The circles were punched from the paper. The smaller tag is a Spellbinders Tags and Flags die. The sentiment is from a Tim Holtz Life's Possibilities stamp set.

The larger circles were cut with Spellbinders Standard Circles Small dies. The smaller ones were punched from the paper. The rosettes are Tim Holtz Mini Paper Rosettes dies. The butterflies are Spellbinders Fanciful Flight dies...cut in black cardstock for the base.

Spring was also cut from the Gypsy Font cartridge. The bird is a Spellbinders Bird Sanctuary die, and it was covered in glitter.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
  1. DL.Art - March Linky
  2. Every Day is an Occasion - March Linky
  3. Just B Creative Crazy - March Linky
  4. My Sheri Crafts #129 - Celebrate Spring
  5. All Crafts Challenge - Anything But a Card
  6. Make My Monday - Butterflies
  7. Altered Eclectics - Anything Goes (Altered Picture Frame)
Now it's your turn!! Head on over to Decorate to Celebrate to see the amazing projects my talented design team sisters have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Spring or Birthday project...I can't wait to see what you create :)
